Theater group of the akg has a nice present

Chairs and tables are still standing around in the cafeteria. That a play by the theater group of the armin knab high school is being performed here today is not yet apparent. But then everything happens very quickly, everything is rearranged, all the actors help out, and so does the technical AG. The tables come out, the fake christmas tree, the old sofa and many presents come in. The plates for the stage come in.
"Stop!", antje pollot, teacher at the AKG and head of the theater group, calls out "these are the wrong plates." Time is running out. When the real stage is finally erected, the props are put up. Antje pollot takes a few steps back, looks at the stage for a while and then decides: "no, that's not the way to do it." She consults with a couple of schoolgirls who have already changed their clothes.

Last corrections before the rehearsal
The sofa still has to be moved, the fir tree belongs further back and has to be lit differently. Despite the stress, jokes are cracked from time to time, and there is always a good laugh.
Antje pollot goes back a few steps again and examines the changed stage. "So slowly the whole thing is taking shape", she finds and goes to the farthest corner of the refectory to the technical desk. Only from there can she be sure that the actors speak loudly enough. If she hoards the schoolchildren from the lectern, the audience will surely hear the actors during the performance. The actors often still talk too quietly; antje pollot always has to speak up and make the actors repeat the text. But the only problem is that the students on the stage speak their lines too softly, says antje pollot. Apart from that, there are no problems because of limelight fever. After all, many of those who have been in the theater group for several years are already taking part in the performance.
Newcomer but already a leading actor is lars chrischilles. In the stucco "a nice present he plays mr. Lemm, who hires a student to dress up as santa claus and give the children a nice, but above all, a quick present. But nothing comes of it. Everything goes wrong. Instead of a santa claus, three women in red coats come, drink whiskey and don't want to leave the house again.

Preparations for the play
It took lars about a week to learn his lines by heart. "I really got into it while learning the text", he remembers "otherwise it took me a long time to get there." For him it was a challenge to remember when and where to stand on the stage and to rely on his teammates. When he learned that rehearsals for a play were to start at the beginning of the school year, he was skeptical at first, but when he saw how everyone cooperated, he became more confident.
This may have been due to the leadership by antje pollot. Such a gift as in the play gonnt them by the way no one. "I only wish that the place would be full, that more people than just the actors' families would come."
There is room for 100 spectators, whether so many will come and whether they will like the piece, will be seen today at 17.30 o'clock in the refectory of the armin-knab-gymnasium, because there the only public performance takes place.
