Wistful farewell to the chaplain

With heavy hearts the parishioners of the parish of zeyern said goodbye to their chaplain andreas stahl during the church service last sunday.

The children’s group of the parish bid farewell to the chaplain with a song and a bunch of sunflowers as well as many small special gifts. Senior altar boy luca weib thanked the minis with a basket full of sweets for the pleasant hours they spent with their chaplain.

The two chairmen of the parish council thomas erhardt and the church administration stefan fobel presented chaplain stahl with a carrier of kronach beer, which he will surely miss very much in his new area of work in coburg, and a book of jokes that will make his new job easier.

Before the blessing, the chaplain thanked everyone and assured that he would have liked to stay in zeyern a little longer, maybe the next five to ten years, but unfortunately it was not to be, which was also foreseeable for everyone. He emphasized how much he enjoyed being in zeyern and did not want to miss that time.

After the service, the parish council had prepared a small reception, where the visitors were given the opportunity to say goodbye to the outgoing chaplain. Hb
